As Ron Paul has said "it is time for revolutionary thought." This does not mean violent overthrow of TPTB as that would be fruitless. They will assuredly kill us as they did at Kent State without a thought.
However, we need to stand up for what we believe and be counted. Most of our international readers are waiting for Americans to wake up and take a stand for "liberty and justice for all."
No more shall I freely submit my freedom to those who would enslave me. If this means I never fly again then so be it. I will not take out my laptop, take off my shoes or be subjected to a full body scan. Why is is that others do? Do you ever ask yourself why you submit?
No longer will I agree that Wall Street knows better than I, as they have subverted the entire process into nothing more than a casino.
Never again will I buy "Change we can believe in" because Mr. Obama, you have been proven yourself to be a tool and a liar.
The wars you promised to end have not been ended. Gitmo is still open for business and nothing has changed on Wall Street. It is business as usual. You are the new and improved Bush.
I am ashamed for having voted for you. I am ashamed of what we have become as a nation. A nation of sheep lining up to be slaughtered.
The American people could throw down he ptb tomorrow if the resolved to do so. They are generally stupid, happy, divided, with no intention whatsoever of sacrificing anything to set things right. It will all fall down eventually. Ron Paul needs to lighten up and go with the flow. Nothing changes until after a catastrophic failure, it is the nature of things.
Oh, and for the record, the recent financial crisis is not what I'd call a "catastrophic failure". [This] is more along the lines of what I had in mind.
May be there is no conspiracy with Obama, it is just a tragedy for America that he is such a stunningly inept politician.
Sorry for sounding like Machiavelli, but he looked as though he was getting on track last week with ideas to get America's money back from the banksters. While Haiti was a gift on a plate for him to make his presidency "relevant" again, just as Clinton did with Oklahoma City, after he was getting the run around by the Gingrich gang.
But what does he do, rather than let Bush drink himself to death, as LBJ did after Vietnam. He then decides to put him in charge of fund raising for the relief effort.
Here is reminder of how well he helped the folks of New Orleans after Hurrican Katrina
While the best chance for the US Army to be able to through off the image of being a sort of latter day Waffen SS (see any parallels with Fallujah, Abu Ghraib or the numerous Afghan villages that have been flattened by a 500lb bomb?) has been thrown away by bringing him back in the spotlight.
Bhagwhan I didn't even know he was back in the picture. I thought Clinton was spearheading the efforts. The Haitian people are a proud people and should have been assisted year ago. This is the IMF at it's worse. Many Central American country are still dirt poor and we do nothing to relieve the poverty. Hell we can't even get people in America out of poverty just look at the Appalachians.
So has anyone found a good investment yet? Faber talks of Wheat options and you can lose or make a lot of money in options. I am hanging in with my mining fund (tocqueville), AUY and PM's. I have virtually nothing in cash except day to day living expenses and walking around money.
Mugabe I have even divested out of CD's. I have a few thousand in a checking account if I need it to get out of Dodge. I see massive devaluing of the dollar this year and high inflation due to BB printing at the Fed so I want to be invested.

QB,
As a matter of interrest, when you say you have almoost nothing in cash, does that mean you have no CDs, or easily accesible shorter term US bonds?
